Cookie Policy
This website is operated by Pattern Aesthetic Limited, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 17312956), registered office 110b St. Johns Lane, Bristol, BS3 5AJ. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Pattern Aesthetic Limited.
1. The short version
This website sets no cookies at all. It stores one entry in your browser's local storage, and only to remember whether you accepted or declined the notice that appears on your first visit. There is no analytics software, no advertising software and no tracking pixel on this site, and accepting the notice does not switch any on.
2. What we store on your device
| Name | Type | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
vofcore_cookies |
Local storage entry (not a cookie — it is never sent to a server) | This website | Records whether you chose Accept or Decline, so the notice does not reappear on every page | Until you clear your browser storage or use the Cookie preferences link |
That entry holds the single word accepted or declined. It contains no identifier, nothing about you, and no other site can read it.
3. Categories
- Essential / strictly necessary — the one entry above. It is exempt from the consent requirement under regulation 6(4) of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, because its only purpose is to remember a preference you expressed. We show the notice anyway so that you know it is there.
- Analytics — none in use.
- Functional — none beyond the entry above.
- Marketing / advertising — none in use.
4. Third parties
Two third-party services are loaded to render this site. Neither sets a cookie on your device:
- Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited) delivers the typefaces. The request discloses your IP address to Google so the font file can be returned, and stores nothing on your device. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
- Cloudflare cdnjs (Cloudflare, Inc.) delivers the GSAP animation library used for the page transitions. It sets no cookies for this use. Cloudflare's privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
We do not embed video players, social media widgets, chat tools, heat-mapping or advertising tags, all of which commonly set third-party cookies.
5. Changing or withdrawing your choice
Use the Cookie preferences link in the footer of the home page. It clears the stored choice and brings the notice back so you can choose again. You may also clear the entry yourself in your browser's developer tools or by clearing site data for this domain.
6. Managing storage in your browser
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and local storage for individual sites, usually under Settings → Privacy. Instructions are published for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge. Blocking storage for this site is safe; the only consequence is that the notice will appear on each visit.
7. Server logs
Separately from anything stored on your device, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — IP address, timestamp, page requested — for 30 days, for security and fault diagnosis. This is described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Changes and questions
If we add anything that sets a cookie, we will list it here and gate it behind consent before it loads. Questions go to [email protected]. You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at www.ico.org.uk.
